Yes. Before starting any programme, you will have a short introductory conversation with the IMT team, either in person, online or by phone. This helps us get to know you, understand your goals and guide you towards the programme that best meets your needs and current level.

Yes. Applicants to the Advanced Tattoo Program are asked to present a portfolio or a representative selection of their work. This allows IMT educators to assess their current level, technical foundations and readiness for the programme.

Each class has 8 to 10 students. Keeping groups small allows educators to provide meaningful guidance, continuous supervision and individual feedback at every stage of training.

The Beginner Tattoo Program is open to everyone, with no previous tattoo experience or knowledge required.

Admission to the Advanced Tattoo Program requires an assessment by IMT educators. Applicants who demonstrate the necessary technical foundations and level of ability can join the Advanced programme directly.

Of course. The Beginner Tattoo Program is designed for people starting from scratch and requires no previous experience in tattooing or drawing.

Once a class is full, applications continue for the next available class. Applicants are notified in order of priority, and the new class begins once the minimum required number of participants has been reached.

Information about tuition fees and available payment options is provided individually when you speak with the IMT team. This ensures that you receive full details about the programme you are interested in before proceeding with enrolment.

The weekly timetable is arranged for each new training cycle. Exact days and times are shared with prospective students before enrolment is completed, so they know the full attendance schedule in advance.

If you miss a class, your educators will explain how to catch up on the material or, where possible, attend the corresponding lesson with another group. Up to three absences are permitted per three-month term. Exceeding this limit or being repeatedly absent may prevent successful completion of the programme and make it necessary to repeat the term.

The main teaching language is Greek. For students who do not speak Greek, teaching or support in English can be arranged with the IMT team before enrolment.

The IMT Weekend Lab includes two compulsory days of in-person training each month. Students who are able to do so can also visit the school for one additional, optional day of practice and guidance.

Structured homework is assigned throughout the programme and reviewed in a weekly online meeting with an educator. This keeps progress steady between in-person classes.

For the painting component, each student purchases their own tools and materials according to the list provided by IMT before classes begin.

For practice on synthetic skin, students need their own tattoo machine, gloves, practice skins and the personal consumables specified by the school.

Students enrolling in the Complete Professional Tattoo Program receive a starter kit containing a tattoo machine, needles and basic supplies for their first steps.

Yes. Each student needs a personal tattoo machine for practice. The exception is students enrolling in the Complete Professional Tattoo Program, whose included starter kit contains a tattoo machine and basic supplies.

Yes. Current IMT students have access to special discounts on tattoo supplies available through the school. Further information about available products and benefits is provided during enrolment.

Practice on a live model takes place during the final lessons of the Advanced Tattoo Program. Students move on to real skin only after successfully completing the required training and being assessed as ready by IMT educators.

Yes. Before working on a live model, students must have achieved the required level of technique, safety and consistency on synthetic skin. Their readiness is assessed by IMT educators.

The student chooses the model, who must be over 18 years old. The model's participation requires prior approval from the educator and must follow IMT procedures.

Yes. An educator provides continuous supervision at every stage, from preparation and stencil placement through to carrying out and completing the tattoo.

Upon successful completion of the programme requirements, IMT awards an IMT Certificate of Completion. This confirms that the student attended and successfully completed the specific IMT training programme.

The certificate is issued by IMT and is not a state-recognised academic qualification, a licence to practise, an ISO certification or a state-recognised vocational training diploma.

Students must successfully complete the required theory tests, practical assessments and programme attendance requirements. Up to three absences are permitted per three-month term. Consistency, progress and the safe application of techniques are essential requirements for successful completion.

IMT supports its students' professional development and may recommend graduates who have demonstrated strong performance, consistency and professional conduct to partner tattoo studios when relevant opportunities arise.
