The SMP Professional Program is designed for barbers, PMU artists, tattoo artists, beauty professionals and aspiring SMP artists — but also for anyone who wants to enter the world of Scalp Micropigmentation through a structured, professional and high-level education.

Students are trained not only in the technical application of SMP, but in consultation, hairline design, density, pigment behaviour, skin response, client management and the professional standards required to work confidently in the industry.

The objective is not simply to complete a course.

It is to become ready to perform.

Curriculum

SMP Foundations & Professional Standards

Understanding what SMP is, how it behaves in the skin, realistic expectations and the professional process from consultation to healed result.

Skin, Scalp & Healing

Skin structure, scalp conditions, healing, contraindications and recognising when a client should or should not undergo treatment.

Hygiene & Safe Working Practices

Station preparation, cross-contamination prevention, consumables, protection of artist and client and professional hygiene protocols.

Machines, Needles & Pigments

Machine setup, needle configurations, pigment behaviour, dilution principles and how equipment choices affect the final result.

The Perfect Impression

Depth, pressure, hand speed, angle and control. Developing clean, consistent and natural-looking impressions without trauma to the skin.

Hairline Design & Facial Balance

Creating age-appropriate, natural hairlines based on facial structure, existing hair and long-term aesthetics.

Density, Blending & Layering

Building density gradually, blending SMP into existing hair and understanding how multiple sessions create depth and realism.

Advanced Cases

Hair transplant density, FUE/FUT scars, alopecia cases, vertex work and adapting technique to different scalp conditions.

Live Model & Practical Training

Guided practical application with focus on positioning, technique, consistency, spacing, density and overall execution.

Consultation, Aftercare & Client Journey

Client assessment, informed consent, preparation, aftercare instructions, healing expectations, maintenance and follow-up.

Photography, Content & Professional Positioning

How to document your work professionally, create before/after content and begin positioning yourself in the SMP market.

How to organise your first cases, communicate your service, build confidence and enter the market with a professional workflow.
